Earlier in my career education and I moved 16 times in 19 years. Needless to say, I consider myself somewhat of an expert on the topic of moving things. The sound of the tape of packaging from the roll used to give my stomach butterflies, and I've learned – even memorized – what should be included in the "last box in the truck. But more about that later.

Even if you are lucky that professional packers and movers, not much to do in the new place: how to get behind the stack of boxes that you have not unzipped, open the new big screen TV, or moving and comfortable you really need to go to the other wall.

What is the best way to move heavy things for yourself? My solution has always been to push, pull, or slide heavy objects. Thus the ground "carries" the weight instead of the back muscles. For example, here is the best way to extract heavy speakers or a television cardboard box with foam inserts.

First, open the lid of the box by removing staples or tape, then set the box her on a carpeted floor or blanket. Then find a place to pick up the television or the speaker – may have to remove the foam inserts up to find a retention of the fingers. Now sit down and simply pull the item from the box slide out. To overcome the threshold, I dropped the handle and pushed the TV back, using the engine as a skid steer utility. Once inside, I reset leaf table and continued to slide.

(6) Disposable plates, glasses and flatware
(7) Paper towels and napkins
(8) dishwashing liquid and a sponge
(9) One set of towels per person and a soap bath
(10) Pillows and a set of sheets for each bed.
